THIS IS A PRERELEASE VERSION, IT ISN'T FINISHED!

SWAP BOX is a puzzle game where you controls magenta square (usually) that is on a land above the ground after sun have exploded, so it have to light up the great lightbulb, and save the world from a cold demise! The player character doesn't pushes boxes as normal, it swaps place with them. But your goal is still on the stars which give them energy to charge them. And after all is done, reach the spring to win, which you'll be send to the next level.

Your main goal is to save humanity from the cold of a sunless world, the lightbulb may replace the sun. We hope nothing bad happens to this thing you controls... Oh, the titular SWAP BOX.

This game have four worlds. Each have a unique theme, and the tiles and holes specifically. This makes them unique, based Puzzlescript games don't usually have something like worlds. For now, I won't mention the third and fourth worlds.

GrassA grassy field, the first world. It mainly uses basic objects.
SeaA sea, the levels pass very below compared to the rest, right under the sea, The second world, it mainly uses water-traversing objects or at least that have something to do with water.

This game have multiple mechanics, each level introducing a new one, or even alongside others. Later on, all those will be used as you progresses, you may even find other SWAP BOX like yourself!

Controls are simple, remember, it's PuzzleScript. SWAP BOX uses a top-down movement, that means, you can move freely around.

LeftMoves the SWAP BOX to left.
RightMoves the SWAP BOX to right.
UpMoves the SWAP BOX to up.
DownMoves the SWAP BOX to down.
Restart/RRestarts the entire level progress.
Undo/ZUndoes a action made.
Wait/XSkips your turn.

You also have a large variety of mechanics that you'll find through your adventure. They range from just obstacles, to other SWAP BOX, or to even hazards that will destroy you! ...And more. The list below shows every object featured, listing them from their first appearances to last.

TileThe main platforms, without them, nothing could be planced on. It have a unique color on each world.
HoleThey act as the walls. Nothing can pass from them, somehow.
SWAP BOXCan swap places with boxes, being the most basic SWAP BOX type.
BoxThe basic boxes, can be swapped.
StarThey are the goals. Placing boxes on them, if they count as working on one, makes them charged, placing all on stars fullfills the goal.

Wooden boxCan be pushed due to not being technological.
IncineratorCan eliminate other objects, including boxes. Each time it burns something, it starts to cool down until it becomes solid after the 2nd time.
Inverse boxIt is similar to the boxes, but as you swaps with it, you don't get knocked back each swap. So you can't do the swap-push exploit to pass burn incinerators in puzzles you weren't supposed to.
Blue orbTurns SWAP BOX into a SLEEP BOX
SLEEP BOXCannot swap places with boxes, instead pushing them.
Spark boxActs similar to the wooden boxes, but they count as win, that means they can be pushed on targets.
Magenta orbTurns the special SWAP BOX into the normal SWAP BOX.
SokobotMove vertically or horizontally, turns the SWAP BOX into a SIP BOX in contact and can push boxes. If they touch a obstacle or stop sign, they'll turn.
Stop signNon-solid for other objects, but will cause Sokobots to turn as if they were obstacles.
SIP BOXCannot be controlled, can only be reversed by undoing or by pushing a potion into them.
Pushable stop signActs similarly to the stop sign, but can be pushed.
SIMPLE BOXIt is a type of SWAP BOX without any ability, however, it can't even push boxes. So it is better to find a orb when you are a SIMPLE BOX. Or just have to survive.
Green orbTurns the SWAP BOX into a STRONG BOX.
STRONG BOXIt is cannot be defeated by enemies, so it is unable to turn into a SIP BOX. However, some objects can still able to eliminate it, those being lasers, and same goes for objects that cannot turn it into a corpse, such as incinerators.

SPARK BOXCounts as a box when on stars, and can press switches.
SeaThe sea world theme of the holes. Anything falling on the sea will sink, turning into platforms which other objects can pass over

SWIM BOXAt first, it'll be able to swim from shores, becoming able to traverse through water without sinking. Touching a rock shore makes it to get back to dry land. After this, it returns back to normal.
